DSB New Head of School
I am delighted to have been involved in the recruitment of a new Head of English Section at DSB International, Mumbai.
A large number of candidates applied for several posts advertised via TES HireWIre and after some chops and changes due to the agreement on a new school build and subsequent expansion, Edward Bantry-White was appointed and will take up post in August 2010.
Malaga CPD
The new CPD programme for schools in southern Spain commenced on January 23rd.
The programme is coordinated by Phil Whitehead and managed by St George’s International Schools Group and runs either from St George’s School in Malaga or a very fine hotel in the centre.
Each year Phil and the Director General of the group, Jim Shallcross, design the programme based on identified school needs.

DSB International School, Mumbai
Conference organisation and presentation has been a feature of my work in recent years. This one went off brilliantly and thanks to all the presenters and attendees for making it so successful – here’s to the 2010 programme.
DSB International School is delighted to confirm its first conference on October 12-15th 2009 in Mumbai – and I am delighted to be helping organise it!
The theme is: Learning Conversations
Workshops, keynotes and activities will consider the different kinds of conversation that happen in and around schools on a day to day, informal basis and those that happen more formally in review, consultation, briefing…How we might conduct them, what learning is possible and how we can use the idea of a listening or learning conversation to promote social and emotional well-being and academic aspects of school life.

barcelona revisited
latest news…
I’ll be working at Oak House School in Barcelona 3rd-4th September updating on the National Curriculum and looking at some specific primary English approaches.
I last worked with the school around 7 or 8 years ago and so it will be good to go back and re-aquaint – and of course to revisit Barcelona.
